This Land Protection Security System has 96 meters radius reach limit, including height. It can control a square land UP TO 135 meters side, wich is a 18225 square meters land. You can use several protectors if you have a full sim or your land is bigger than that size. System has copy enabled.
The system checks every 30 seconds (by default, this time can be changed), detecting avatars up to 96 meters (this distance can also be adjusted) away form the system console.
When an avatar is detected it first checks if land owner, then it checks if person over your land, it is possible that your land is smaller than the checking distance, don't want to bother those who are not over in your land. If person is on your land it checks if he/she belongs to the same group as your security system, if not, it checks if avatar is in your list of granted entry people, later I will explain how to do this. If none of those requirements are fulfilled the next action is showing an alert warning (the message can also be modified) to the detected intruder, in that message you should state that the person will be ejected in a few seconds (seconds can also be modified). It is a good idea to explain the intruder that activating the group avoids ejection. After that time, the person will be ejected. You will get an IM where the system tells you who was ejected.
When you buy a Land Protector Box you get a box which has these items inside:
If the land where you will place the Land Protector System is Group Owned, then you need the Land Protector version for group owned lands.
If you touch the box you can transfer all its contents to your inventory, this creates a directory named "Land Protector Box" and there you will find all those things. Then take the box to your inventory too.
Activate yourself the group you want their member to get granted access to your land if any. If no group, activate none. This is important since the land protector will let anybody belonging that group to come into your land. Land Protector group can also be changed by editing it, general tab, "Group" box.
Now rezz the land protector and place it where you consider. you can also make it invisible, I will explain how.
Once you have the system rezzed you can set it up. Right click it, go to contents tab, there you will find a script named "Land Protection System (080819)" and a note card named "setup", double click the note, it will open. In this note we can set the system up.
First line in the note says "Exclusion list (comma sepparated names) for those who don't belong to group", below this line you writte the comma separated list of names you want to grant access. It is case sensitive so it is a good idea to copy the names form their profiles and then paste them here.
4th line "Sensor interval in seconds", in 5th line writte the value for this. It is the time between sensor checks.
7th line "Sensor reach in meters (max 96)", writte the value for this in the 8th line, if you writte more than 96 it will check 96.
10th line "Time between warning advice and banning in seconds", writte the value in seconds in line eleven, good value 15 seconds.
13rd line "Sentence to say to intruders before being banned", in line 12 explain that it is a private land, and if not wearing group tag will be ejected in x seconds.
Line 16, "Writte Y or N depending if you want it transparent or opaque (Y = transparent)", if you don't want the land protector to be visible, writte N, you can see it later using ctrl - alt - T.
Now save the note, don't change its name. Everytime you save the note it resets the script, so, if you had it working it will stop.
To Start it working just touch it, a blue dialog menu will appear in the up right corner of your screen with 3 buttons: Start, Stop and Setup.
Start makes it work, Stop turns it off and Setup will tell you (only you will read it): Its position, if it is working or not, setup data you wrote in the setup notecatd except the warning sentence, and the list of people you grant the entry.
That's it. You can make this with as many lands as you have since it has copy enabled.
