AW Devices Group Joiner sign
There are several kind of Group Joiners in Second Life. One of them requieres several clicks before joining the group, these kind of Group Joiners can't be used for closed enrollment groups. There is a second kind able to send invitations directly to the avatar, either by touching the Group Joiner or when detected by a sensor. The second kind is the one this site is about.
The AW Devices Group Joiner/Inviter system consists of a Second Life object rezzed in world which detects avatars around, we will call this object Group Joiner , and besides a Group Inviter avatar who sends the invitations.
It has Copy and Modify permission enabled.
You can configure it to be active only when touched or also with a sensor.
It includes a setup notecard where you can establish sensor range, sensor interval and bot name.
The group joiner makes a daily visitors list and keeps track of it, every 24 hours(at 00:00) it sends a report by IM to the owner where it says the amount and names of the visitors in the last 24 hours and also the average of visits during the last 30 days.
When it detects an avatar it first checks if that avatar is already in the visitors list for that day, and if not included in that list, then it sends a group join invitation request to the Group Inviter Avatar.
If an avatar touches the Group Joiner it makes the same as described in the paragraph above, but if the same avatar touches again the group joiner it is alerted that not a new invitation request will be sent. This is a way to prevent multiple touch events.
You can use your own Group Joiner Design, just transfer the scripts and setup notecard to your own design. Or modify the group joiner to your needs.

Go to the vendor located in AW Devices
You will get a box which includes the Group Joiner (copy and modify), info notecard, setup instructions notecard and a landmark. Then you will have to IM Azul Wilder to let him know the group name where invitations will be sent in order to join the Group Inviter to that group. Azul Wilder will also tell you the name of the inviter who will be sending the invitations, you will have to writte that name in the setup notecard inside the Group Joiner. The purchase of this option includes the group invitation service during 30 days.
Azul Wilder will help you to make the system work, it is a simple process that takes just a couple of minutes.
The system will be working during 30 days. You will get an IM or email a few days before the service expires. If you so desire when the service is about to finish you can go to the vendor in AW Devices and extend the time.
