Chimpoon Board

Chimpoon is a board similar to "Midnight Mania" or "Slap & Board". It is able (optionally) to promote itself in the related groups by using a Promoter renting service by time.

This board is based in the "Fortune Spreader", but this new panel is much easier to configure, without complex menus or other complications.

It is possible to change the board texture if you change the texture named 'default' that you can find in the content, by another one with the same name.

When rezzed you have to pay attention to what it says and also to its floating text.

When rezzed it is going to say (owner) the steps to follow in the right order to make the board work. But it is summed up this:

1. In case we are going to use the Automatic Group Messaging Option, the first thing to do is renaming the board. To make that edit the board (right click - edit) and in the General tab change the name to a single, sole, one word name.
2. Next, go to the content tab and open a notecard named 'setup'. The note explains what you have to change and where.

   But, in short you only have to change those lines not starting by #. And there are only 4 lines to change. If you are not going to use the aumatic messaging delete the last line.

   There is a web site where you can always check your board and other boards rezzed in world. Go to http://www.awdevices.info/ and the browse to Traffic / Income - Chimpoon Locations

   Don't forget to save the note when ready.

3. Also in the content tab you have to drop an object with copy and transfer permission (the prize) and a texture for that prize.

While you are doing all these changes the panel will be doing and saying things. You have to pay attention to what it says and also to the floating text. You will see a red floating text when there are problems. A white text while it is loading the configuration and you will always have to wait for a green text.

When the floating is color green then you have to touch the panel to make it start the contest, and that's it. Every day at 00:00 UTC (GMT or ZULU) time, that is 8 or 9 hours time less than SL time depending if this is summer or winter time. The board will pay the prizes if the target has been met or exceed.

When you want to change the prize or the note setup. You (owner) have to pay the prize to the those people who joined the contest if any. To make that, touch the panel, then you get a blue menu with two butons, 'Forward' and 'Touch'.

'Touch' is used by the owner to enter the contest and 'Forward' is used by the owner to pay the prizes in advanced.

After forwarding the prizes you can edit th epanel and changing the prize or the note setup.

As you can see this very easy and fast. If you notice that the panel didn't read any value (you will notice that if you pay attention to the floating text while it is reading the note setup) from the note setup, you can reset it by editing the panel and then go to Tools - Reset Scripts in selection.
